Karaage is Japanese style fried chicken. With light and crispy potato starch on the outside and juicy chicken thighs within, this is dangerously addictive - who doesn’t love fried chicken!
Although chicken breast can be used for this recipe, thighs have more flavour and are a lot juicier – I even like to include the skin.
Karaage is traditionally served with Japanese mayo and lemon wedges and in this recipe rice and edamame are included to make a delicious meal.
