This easy pizza dough is light and airy and can be made by hand, or with your bread maker. I like to keep things simple with just basil, tomatoes, anchovies and a little mozzarella on top.
Pizza Dough
Dough
2 teaspoons of instant yeast (YEASTFSO)
3 cups of Victory Flour (FLOURV20)
¾ of a cup of Organic Sprouted Red Wheat Flour (WHEWSO1)
¼ cup of extra virgin olive oil (OILOE)
1 teaspoon of salt (SALTI1)
1 teaspoon of sugar (SUGSP)
Toppings
2 tins of Sofia Cherry Tomatoes (TOMCM)
6 cloves of garlic roughly chopped
3 cups Mozzarella (CHEMM)
1 tin of Anchovies (ANCF140)
Fresh Basil
Place all dough ingredients in your bread maker.
Or…
Combine flours with salt and make a well in the middle. Mix together sugar, yeast, water and olive oil. Add this to your flour, mix well and then turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 8 minutes.
Make a ball with your dough and place in an oiled bowl. Cover with cling wrap and leave to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size. This should take about 45 minutes.
For your pizza sauce simply cook the tomatoes and the garlic together in saucepan over a low heat for 20 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 200C.
Divide dough into two, roll into large pizzas – if you like the bases nice and crispy roll out to 5mm.
Cover with toppings and bake for approximately 15 minutes until the dough is crispy,
Serve immediately with fresh basil ontop.
