This decadent brownie will be loved by all peanut butter addicts. Our Marsanta peanut butter has no salt, no sugar and no additives - meaning you get the natural goodness of the nut and nothing else. The brownie is really quite rich, so I recommend slicing it up in small pieces to be enjoyed with a cup of coffee.
Chocolate Peanut Brownie
260 grams of dark chocolate
170g unsalted butter, cut into pieces
½ cup crunchy peanut butter
1 ½ cups sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon of salt
Peanut Swirl
½ cup of crunchy peanut butter
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
½ teaspoon of salt
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease a 20cm square baking tin.
Combine chocolate, butter and peanut butter and microwave for 1 minute. Stir and microwave again for 30 second bursts until all ingredients are melted and combined. Leave to cool.
Meanwhile, combine eggs, vanilla and sugar and mix in a mixer or with egg beaters until light and fluffy.
Fold through cooled chocolate mixture and then flour.
Scrape mix out into your tin.
For the swirl simply combine all ingredients and microwave for 30 seconds to ensure the mixture is liquid.
Spoon the peanut mixture evenly onto the brownie and using the end of a tablespoon swirl it in.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
Leave to cool, then remove from tin and slice as desired.
Can be stored in an airtight container for up to week (if it lasts that long!).
