TVP or TSP is short for texturised soy vegetable protein. It is used as a high protein extender in the manufacture of sausages , meat patties, cured meat products and replacing meat in vegetarian meals, also a source of protein in cereal bars and other food preparations. T.S.P. is a high protein source, contains no cholesterol, lactose, or casein. It is rich in dietary fibre, minerals and low in total fat, sodium and saturated fatty acids.
