Corn cobs are a variety of maize which is eaten directly off the cob. These cobs are covered in kernels and when ripe, the kernels are sweet and juicy and yellow in colour. Corn kernels are convenient as they have already been removed from the cob. They can simply be boiled, steamed or grilled to provide a tasty addition to an easy dinner. Corn is high in dietary fibre and protein as well as being a great source of carbohydrate.
